Sunshine Math is coming to AGS !
Sunshine Math is an enrichment math program for self-motivated students who enjoy doing math, solving puzzles, and being challenges. It encourages creatvity and independent thinking as well as problem-solving. This popular program will be offered at AGS starting in October, before school. Dates are: Oct 6, Nov 3, Dec 1, Jan 12, Feb 2, March 2, Apr 13, and May 4th. Please download the signup form here. Parent volunteers are needed to help with this program. If interested please contact Sarah Gorr. Can't make all of the dates? That's fine too...just make sure a signed form is sent in with the child that day. Happy Math !

October is International Walk-To-School Month
Did you know that October is International Walk-To-School Month ? To celebrate and encourage this activity, enthusiastic parents are needed ! Please contact Dianne Peterson for how you can help ! (DianneLPeterson@hotmail.com) So put on those walking shoes and we'll see you en route to AGS !
The Fall Book Fair is set for Monday, Nov 3rd through Thursday, Nov 6th.
Hours will be:
Mon 11/3 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Tues 11/4 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Wed 11/5 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Thurs 11/6 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Back by popular demand ! The AGS Book Club is in its 4th year and we keep getting beter and better ! Students in grades 1 through 5 can participate once a month in a fun way to read exciting new books with friends outside of class. Students get 2 books to choose from each month. Read the book ! Come to the Book Club ! Discuss with your friends ! Enjoy a fun activity and snack ! Watch for more information and GET READY TO READ WITH THE AGS BOOK CLUB !

Tyson A+ Program!
Tyson Project A+ is a new fundraiser available to us this year. When you purchase participating Tyson products at the grocery store, (chicken, etc.) simply clip the entire A+label and send it in to school. The PTO can redeem it for 24 cents per label ! Tell your friends and relatives to look for these labels and save them for you. THANKS !

Thanks to everyone that helped with the PTO Ice Cream Social ! Everyone had a blast and we appreciate the hard work ! What a great way to start our school year !
Gator Gold Program at AGS
Gator Gold is a gift card program for major merchants in our area and on the internet. It is a one-stop way to purchase cards for restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, hotels, and many other retailers. The AGS PTO purchases the gift cards at a discount, and sells them to you for face value. The difference in cost then becomes PTO revenue. With a little planning ahead, you can help the PTO by purchasing cards for goods/services you routinely use !
Order dates are: Oct 29, Nov 19, Dec 16, Jan 29, Feb 24, March 24, Apr 29, and May 27. Order forms are also available in the school lobby, from this link, or click here to learn more about our program. It's an easy way to raise money for our school. Meijer Community Rewards
If you shop at Meijer and are willing to use a Meijer credit card, cash, or debit card for your purchases, then you can sign up for Meijer Communmity Rewards. This program is an easy fundraiser whereby a percentage of our eligible purchses at Meijer are returned to the AGS PTO. Eligible purchass include grocery ites,pharmacy, general merchandise, gas station purchases, convenience store purhcases, and online items. If you have friends or relatives that shop at Meijer, they can enroll too ! Our organization ID number is 566327. Log onto www.meijer.com/rewards more info ! This is an easy way for the AGS PTO to earn funds while you do your Meijer shopping !
Target Take Charge of Education Fundraiser
If you shop at Target and have a RED cards, Target donates 1% of your purchase price to our school. All you have to do is sign up and start shopping ! Go to www.target.com and click on RED CARD at the top of the menu. Select "Take Charge of Education" and follow the prompts. Pick AGS (school code 45152) as your school and voila, you are all set up. Simply setting this up and shopping like normal will result in funds being donated to AGS !
